Hamro Sikkim Party ( HSP) ( English: Our Sikkim Party) was a regional political party (State Party (Unrecognized)) in the Indian state of Sikkim. The incumbent president of this party is Bhaichung Bhutia. Its election symbol is a Whistle. Indian Gorkha Janshakti Front
Indian Gorkha Janshakti Front formerly known as Hamro Party ( lit. Our Party; HP) is a political party based in Darjeeling district and Kalimpong district of India. HP was founded on 25 November 2021. The president of the party is Ajoy Edwards, who was earlier a leader of Gorkha National Liberation Front. Election history HP contested the Darjeeling Municipality election in February 2022. It won 18 seats out of a total of 32 seats and formed the board. HP contested all 45 seats in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration election held on 26 June 2022 and won 8 seats. Hamro Nepali Party () is a political party in Nepal. The party was registered in the Election Commission on 13 July 2022, with the ''Cane'' (''Lauro''; lit. Walking Stick) as its election symbol. The party's chairman is Ananta Raj Ghimire. History The party was founded by 'lauro campaign' activists who were supporters of independent candidates Balen Shah of Kathmandu and Harka Sampang of Dharan, both of whom were elected mayors of their respective cities and had contested the elections using the 'lauro' election symbol at the 2022 local elections. ''Hamro Lok Sanskriti'' () is a 1956 book by Satya Mohan Joshi. It is about the folk culture of Nepal. The book won the Madan Puraskar, Nepal's highest literary honour. Background In 1943, Satya Mohan Joshi worked at Nepal's Department of Industrial and Commercial Intelligence; he surveyed and created reports about the social economy in two districts Tanahun and Lamjung. As he visited the districts, Joshi saw people singing in various areas including fields, jungles, and Chautara (a place where people communicate and share information). In the afternoon, the villagers would sing songs with madals and performed Maruni, Kaura, Chudka, Sorathi, and Jhyamrey dances. Music was an extensive part of the villagers' life which fascinated Joshi. He wanted to reveal these songs throughout Nepal but the country did not have radio stations until 1951, instead he published the songs in a literary magazine ''Sarada''.
