Hamilton Harp F.C. was an association football club from Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland, active in the 1890s. History The club was founded in 1890, after the demise of the previous Irish diaspora club in the town, Hamilton Hibernian F.C., Hamilton Hibernians. Shortly after formation the club had already amassed nearly a hundred members. It joined the Lanarkshire Association in May 1890 and the Scottish Football Association in August 1890. The first match for the club was a surprising 4–3 win in a friendly at Hamilton Academical the same month; however the Harp was bolstered by the presence of three Celtic F.C., Celtic players. The Harp's first competitive match was in the first round of the 1890–91 Scottish Cup, at Uddingston F.C. (1887), Uddingston, in a match that was expected to be tight. Annbank F
Annbank is a village in South Ayrshire, Scotland. It is around five miles east of Ayr. Originally a mining settlement, it once had a rail link to Ayr via the Auchincruive Waggonway. The village has a village hall, bakery, shop, bowling green, junior football club ( Annbank United) and a pub. The pub is known as "Tap o'the Brae" which in May 2014 won Ayrshire pub of the year. Weston Bridge Halt railway station was located at the bridge of that name near Annbank and stood close to Ayr Colliery No.9. It was used by miners travelling to their respective collieries. Annbank House once overlooked the River Ayr and Gadgirth Holm however it was demolished after use as a hotel. Gadgirth Old Ha' stood on the River Ayr close to Privick Mill and the old Gadgirth House. The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football (soccer), football in Scotland. Alloa Athletic Football Club is a Scottish association football semi-professional club based in the town of Alloa, Clackmannanshire. Formed as Alloa in 1880, the football club shortly changed its name to Alloa Association, and then to Alloa Athletic in 1881.
