HackMiami
HackMiami is a formal organization of information security professionals who host the annual international hacker conference that takes place in Miami Beach, FL known as the 'HackMiami Conference.' The organization has been involved in research primarily in the fields of malware analysis, botnets, web application security research, cybercrime research, and network security research. The organization also organizes bi-weekly local events themed around ethical hacking topics throughout South Florida, and offer information security consultation services to both individuals and businesses. Hotel Deauville (Miami)
The Deauville Beach Resort at 6701 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141, was a celebrated beachfront hotel on Miami Beach. Built in the MiMo style in 1957, it was designed by Melvin Grossman. The Beatles played their second ''Ed Sullivan Show'' appearance at the hotel on February 16, 1964. Alex Meruelo is the de facto owner of the historical hotel. Security BSides
Security BSides (commonly referred to as BSides) is a series of loosely affiliated information security conferences. It was co-founded by Mike Dahn, Jack Daniel, and Chris Nickerson in 2009. Due to an overwhelming number of presentation submissions to Black Hat USA in 2009, the rejected presentations were presented to a smaller group of individuals. Over time the conference format matured and was released to enable individuals to start their own BSides conferences. The Las Vegas BSides conference is also considered part of Hacker Summer Camp given it's schedule and proximity to other security conferences during that time. There are three event styles, Structured, Unconference, and hybrid.
