HackMIT
HackMIT is an wikt:annual, annual student-run hackathon held in the fall at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. History HackMIT The first HackMIT had around 150 attendees and took place in February 2013 at the Ray and Maria Stata Center, Stata Center as part of MIT's Techfair, a technology fair and corporate expo for MIT students. The event was open to college students of the Northeastern United States and had Techfair and Palantir Technologies, Palantir as its title sponsors. HackMIT 2013 HackMIT was also held in September 2013 with 1000 attendees. The event featured Tom Lehman of Genius (website), Genius (formerly Rap Genius) as a keynote speaker and Sequoia Capital as the event's title sponsor. A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest, datathon or codefest; a portmanteau of '' hacking'' and ''marathon'') is an event where people engage in rapid and collaborative engineering over a relatively short period of time such as 24 or 48 hours. They are often run using agile software development practices, such as sprint-like design wherein computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, product managers, domain experts, and others collaborate intensively on engineering projects, such as software engineering. The goal of a hackathon is to create functioning software or hardware by the end of the event. Jack Conte
Jack Conte (; born July 12, 1984) is an American musician and co-founder and CEO of Patreon. He and his wife Nataly Dawn comprise the musical duo Pomplamoose, and he is co-leader of the band Scary Pockets and founder of the band Magaziine. Career Conte began his career as a video game voice actor, contributing the voice for all teen male sims in the 2004 bestseller The Sims 2. Conte created his YouTube channel in 2007 to upload music videos inspired by the Dogme 95 movement. Cut, copy, and paste are essential commands of modern human–computer interaction and user interface design. They offer an interprocess communication technique for transferring data through a computer's user interface. Project Naptha is a browser extension software for Google Chrome that allows users to highlight, copy, edit and translate text from within images.
