HARD-Fi
Hard-Fi is an English indie rock band, formed in 2003 in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. The band consists of Richard Archer ( lead vocals and guitar), Ross Phillips (guitar and backing vocals), Kai Stephens (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Steve Kemp (drums and backing vocals). They achieved chart success with their third single, " Hard to Beat" and then followed by other successful singles such as " Living for the Weekend" and " Cash Machine", which all reached the top 20 of the UK Singles Chart. Their debut album '' Stars of CCTV'' was released on 4 July 2005, and although receiving critical acclaim (''NME'' called it the 23rd best album of 2005 and it was nominated for the Mercury Prize and two Brit Awards; Best British Group and Best British Rock Act), it did not reach No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart until six months later on 22 January 2006. Hurricane Festival
The Hurricane Festival, also just Hurricane, is a music festival that has taken place at the Eichenring, a speedway race track, in Scheeßel, Germany, since 1997. With more than 80,000 attendees (2022) it is one of the largest music festivals in Germany. Southside Festival, often referred to as Hurricane's "sister" festival, takes place on the same three days and has largely the same line-up. Alongside Southside Festival, Hurricane festival is organised by FKP Konzertproduktionen, MCT Agentur and KoKo Konstanz and takes place every June. Living For The Weekend (Hard-Fi Song)
"Living for the Weekend" is the fourth single from English indie rock band Hard-Fi, from their debut album, ''Stars of CCTV''. It was released on 5 September 2005 and peaked at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart. "Living for the Weekend" was written by Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer and has been heavily featured in a Life Style Sports commercial in Ireland and a Carling commercial in the United Kingdom. It has also been featured on the Winter Olympics Special of BBC's '' Top Gear'' and in the '' CSI'' episode " Time of Your Death". The single cover does not bear the " Parental Advisory" sticker in spite of the lyrics: "Ah shit!" about halfway through the song. The radio edit replaces this with 'Hey, hey' from the first verse. "Bring It On" is the third single from English indie rock band Hard-Fi's third studio album '' Killer Sounds''. It was released on 24 October 2011, but failed to chart. However, the single is featured in adverts for the popular '' Football Manager 2012'' game. The single cover does not bear the " Parental Advisory" sticker, despite the profanity used during the second verse. Music video The music video for "Bring It On" was filmed during September 2011 at Electric Brixton in London during Hard-Fi's ''Killer Sounds'' Tour. Reception "Bring It On" received mixed reviews from critics. There was a point when it got really difficult towards the end. Everyone lost a bit of love for it, but we always stayed friends. Certainly for Steve emp, drummerand I, we'd been in bands that hadn't worked out and we were super focused on 'we can't fuck this up'. And I think at some point, that became to the detriment of the project and to us, our mental health, because we should have just enjoyed it. Everything had to be 'we've got to get this right'. "Good for Nothing" is a single by English indie rock band Hard-Fi. It is the first single from their third studio album '' Killer Sounds''. The single cover does not bear the " Parental Advisory" sticker, despite the profanity used during the chorus. It was released as a digital download on 17 June 2011, and soon after received a "Song of the Week" designation from The Tune. Music video The official music video was filmed in Barcelona, Spain. It features Hard-Fi walking around the Tibidabo area, while there are shots of the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor. ''Once Upon a Time in the West'' is the second studio album by English indie rock band Hard-Fi. It was released on 3 September 2007 on Necessary/Atlantic and Warner Music UK. It reached #1 in the UK Album Chart in the first week of its release, and #5 in the European Top Albums. Overview The first single from the album, "Suburban Knights", was released on 20 August 2007, reaching #7 in UK charts and a download-only release on 13 August 2007. This was followed by "Can't Get Along (Without You)" on 12 November 2007 charting at #45. It reached #1 in Peru, one week after being released and staying there for two weeks. On 10 March 2008, 'I Shall Overcome' became the third single to be released from ''Once Upon a Time in the West''. It reached #4 in South America and hit #35 in the UK singles chart.
