Gwenllian Jenkins
Gwenllian Jenkins (born 20 November 2000) is a Welsh Rugby Union player who plays prop for the Wales women's national rugby union team and Scarlets. She made her debut for the Wales national squad in 2019, and represented them at the 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship. Club career Jenkins plays for Lampeter Town RFC and Scarlets. International career Jenkins first played on the international stage during the 2019 Autumn Internationals, where she won two caps. She was then called up in 2021 to represent Wales during the 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship. She has won three caps in her rugby career to date. Carmarthen
Carmarthen (, ; , 'Merlin's fort' or possibly 'Sea-town fort') is the county town of Carmarthenshire and a community (Wales), community in Wales, lying on the River Towy north of its estuary in Carmarthen Bay. Rugby Union Positions
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Scarlets
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and in European Professional Club Rugby competitions. The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. The Llanelli Scarlets were founded in 2003, as one of the five (now four) regional teams created by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Lampeter Town RFC
Lampeter Town Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from the town of Lampeter, West Wales. The club is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and is a feeder club for the Llanelli Scarlets. Lampeter is believed to be the first town in Wales to field a rugby union team when in 1850 the Reverend Professor Rowland Williams brought the game with him from Cambridge to St. David's College, Lampeter. Although no evidence exists of the origination of Lampeter RFC as a separate club team from Lampeter College there is written proof of a match in the ''Western Mail'' between the college team and a Lampeter club in 1879. Urdd Gobaith Cymru
Urdd Gobaith Cymru (; simply known as the Urdd) is Wales' largest youth organisation. It provides sports, arts, volunteering, apprenticeship, outdoor pursuits, humanitarian, international and residential opportunities for children and young people through the medium of Welsh.
