Gresham County is one of the 141 cadastral divisions of New South Wales. Gresham County was named in honour of the London merchant, Sir Thomas Gresham (1519–1579). In economics, Gresham's law is a monetary principle stating that "bad money drives out good". For example, if there are two forms of commodity money in circulation, which are accepted by law as having similar face value, the more valuable commodity will gradually disappear from circulation. The law was named in 1857 by economist Henry Dunning Macleod after Sir Thomas Gresham (1519–1579), an English financier during the Tudor dynasty. Gresham had urged Queen Elizabeth to restore confidence in then- debased English currency. Gresham's School
Gresham's School is a private school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) in Holt, Norfolk, England, one of the top thirty International Baccalaureate schools in England. The school was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham as a free grammar school for forty boys, following King Henry VIII's dissolution of Beeston Priory. The founder left the school's endowments in the hands of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers of the City of London, who are still the school's trustees. Gresham is a village and civil parish in North Norfolk, England, five miles (8 km) south-west of Cromer. A predominantly rural parish, Gresham centres on its medieval church of All Saints.
