Greg Doyle
Greg Doyle (born 24 September 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda Football Club, St Kilda and Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL). Recruited from Victorian Football League, Victorian Football Association (VFA) club Springvale Football Club, Springvale, Doyle played two senior games for St Kilda in 1990 AFL season, 1990, before his sacking at the end of the season. The following year Doyle moved to fellow VFA club Dandenong Football Club, Dandenong's, and was a member of Dandenong's 1991 premiership team. Doyle returned to the AFL via the 1992 AFL Draft, 1992 Mid-Season Draft, selected at pick two by Melbourne. In 1993 AFL season, 1993 Doyle played in a reserves premiership but was selected more regularly in 1994, making 13 appearances. Doyle played seven games in each of the next two seasons. The Talent League (also known as the Coates Talent League under naming rights and previously as the NAB League and TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition based in Melbourne and run by the Australian Football League (AFL). It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing one of twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is the primary sources of recruitment for the clubs of the AFL with around three quarters of all players selected from its ranks in each AFL draft. The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the Talent League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the Australian Football League, AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. In June 2008 the Chargers moved into a new pavilion at Warrawee Park, however they rarely play in Oakleigh, if at all. The Traralgon Football Netball Club, nicknamed the Maroons, is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the regional Victorian city of Traralgon. Traralgon was formed in 1883 and has competed in the Gippsland League almost continuously since 1954. The club was briefly a member of the Victorian Football League (VFL) between 1996 and 1997, but withdrew after winning only four games in its two seasons. Club history The first published football match was a game in Traralgon against Warragul in 1883, resulting in a win to Traralgon.
