The Greek Basketball League regular season statistical leaders are the yearly statistical leaders of the Greek basketball league system, top-tier level Greek Basketball League (GBL)'s regular season phase, since the league first formed its Alpha National Category, starting with the 1963–64 season. Greek Basketball League System
The Greek basketball league system is a number of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Greece. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and relegation system between competitions at different levels. There are nine different competition levels in the system. The highest level competitions are the professional and semi professional nationwide competitions, which include the top-tier level Greek Basketball League (GBL), the second-tier level Greek A2 Basketball League, the third-tier level Greek B Basketball League, and the fourth-tier level Greek C Basketball League. Those competitions are then followed by the regional amateur level competitions, which include: the A1, the A2, the B, the C, and/or the C1, and the C2 categories. Mitchell Lee Wiggins (September 28, 1959 – September 9, 2024) was an American professional basketball player who was a shooting guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Žarko Paspalj (Serbian Cyrillic: Жарко Паспаљ; born March 27, 1966) is a retired Serbian professional basketball player and sports administrator. The EuroLeague Final Four MVP in 1994, his sixteen and a half seasons career was mostly spent in Yugoslavia and Greece, along with several short stints in the NBA, France, and Italy. Pavlos Stamelos (Greek: Παύλος Σταμέλος; born August 2, 1950, in Greece) is a Greek retired professional basketball player and coach. At 6'4" (1.93 m) in height, he played at the power forward and center positions. Professional career Stamelos started his club playing career with the junior teams of Sporting Athens in 1964. With Sporting, he was the Greek League Top Scorer in the 1977–78 season. He moved to AEK Athens for the 1979–80 season, where he played until 1981.
