Gohad Assembly Constituency
Gohad is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes. It came into existence in 1951, as Gohad Mehgaon, one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state. Overview Gohad (constituency number 13) is one of the 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Bhind district. This constituency covers the entire Mau Tehsil and Gohad tehsil of the district. Datia District
Datia District is in Gwalior Division in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The town of Datia is its district headquarters. History It is an ancient town, mentioned in the Mahabharata. Sahadeva; one of the Pandava brothers had won this kingdom from King Dantavakra. Datia had formerly been a state in the Bundelkhand region. The ruling family were Rajputs of the Bundela clan; they descended from a younger son of a former raja of Orchha. The chief rulers of Datia were Bhagwan Rao, Shubhkaran Rao, Dalpat Rao and Ramchandra and they had good relations with the Mughals. 2013 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
A Legislative Assembly election was held on 25 November 2013 in Madhya Pradesh, India, with the result announced on 8 December. Along with four other state assembly elections, these were the first elections in which the Election Commission of India (ECI) implemented a "None of the above" (NOTA) voting option, allowing the electorate to register a neutral vote but not to outright reject candidates. ''Mid-Day'' (stylised as mid-day) is a morning daily Indian compact newspaper owned by Jagran Prakashan Limited. Editions in various languages were published in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. Lal Singh Arya
Lal Singh Arya (born 1964) is an Bhartiya Janata Party politician and member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1998 to 2008 and 2013-2018 from Gohad (SC). He also served as Minister in the Madhya Pradesh state government and a three-time representative of the Gohad constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. 1998 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in November 1998. The Indian National Congress won a majority of seats and Digvijaya Singh was sworn in as the new Chief Minister for the second time. These were the last elections to the legislative assembly before the passage of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, which carved out the new state of Chhattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh.
