''Godmode'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band In This Moment. The album was released on October 27, 2023, through BMG Rights Management. It is the band's first album to not be produced by Kevin Churko since '' Beautiful Tragedy'' (2007). Instead, the album was produced by Kevin's son, Kane Churko, along with Tyler Bates. The album was preceded by four singles: "I Would Die for You", "The Purge", "Godmode", and " Army of Me" (Björk cover). Background and promotion On January 28, 2023, it was announced that the band was entering the studio to begin recording for their upcoming eighth studio album. Maria Brink stated on Instagram, "The recording of the new ITM album is about to begin...we cannot wait for you all to hear what we are conjuring up". In This Moment is an American Rock music, rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed by singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth in 2005. They found drummer Jeff Fabb and started the band as Dying Star. Unhappy with their musical direction, they changed their name to In This Moment and gained two band members, guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. In 2005, bassist Newell left the band and was replaced by Jesse Landry. Their debut album, ''Beautiful Tragedy'', was released in 2007. Their follow up, titled ''The Dream (In This Moment album), The Dream'' was released the following year debuting at number 73 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. ''Mother'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band In This Moment, released on March 27, 2020, by Atlantic Records and Roadrunner Records. The album was produced by Kevin Churko and Kane Churko. Background and recording On October 14, 2018, Chris Howorth posted a photo on his Instagram page stating that the band was working on their seventh album. On November 12, a short video with flickering and revolving text bearing the word "Mother" was uploaded to the band's official Instagram. On February 17, 2019, Maria Brink posted a short video of herself heading to The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas. Kane Gregory Churko (born January 20, 1986) is a Canadian record producer and sound engineer, best known for his work with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach, Cory Marks, Modern Science, Five Finger Death Punch, Gemini Syndrome, In This Moment, Hellyeah, and Skillet. He is the son of record producer, Kevin Churko. "Army of Me" is a song by Icelandic musician Björk for her second studio album, ''Post'' (1995). It was released on 24 April 1995 by One Little Indian as the lead single from the album. The song was written and produced by Björk and Graham Massey, who helped her in producing and writing the majority of her third album. Lyrically, the song was inspired by the damaging behavior of Björk's brother, and in the lyrics she tells him to stand up to regain control of his life.
