Slipknot is an American metal band, founded in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, bassist Paul Gray and vocalist Anders Colsefni. The band currently consists of Crahan alongside guitarist Mick Thomson (since 1996), vocalist Corey Taylor (since 1997), DJ/keyboardist Sid Wilson (since 1998), guitarist Jim Root (since 1999), bassist/keyboardist Alessandro Venturella (since 2014), percussionist/keyboardist Michael Pfaff (since 2019), an unknown musician who plays samples, keyboards, and percussion (since 2023) and drummer Eloy Casagrande (since 2024). Chris Fehn
Christopher Fehn (born February 24, 1973) is an American musician. He was a percussionist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal band Slipknot from 1998 to 2019, in which he was designated #3. He was also the bassist for Will Haven from 2010 to 2012. Career Slipknot Fehn grew up in Ankeny, Iowa. Prior to joining Slipknot, he played as a kicker on the Wayne State College football team. Fehn joined the band around August (or September) 1998, replacing percussionist Brandon Darner. As well as lending his percussion talents to the band, Fehn has also sung backing vocals on a number of songs Slipknot has both recorded and performed live. Fehn describes himself as a "big fan of the band" and says of Slipknot, "the world needed something like this." In an interview with Face Culture, Fehn stated that the band members gave him a hard time during his early years with the band. Mark Duane Morton (born November 25, 1972) is an American musician who is the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Lamb of God (band), Lamb of God. Career In December 2018, Morton announced his solo debut album, ''Anesthetic (album), Anesthetic'' to be released on March 1, 2019, through Spinefarm Records. A single from the album titled "The Truth Is Dead" was released following the announcement and features Morton's Lamb of God (band), Lamb of God bandmate Randy Blythe as well as Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz on vocals. ''Slipknot'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. It was released on June 29, 1999, by Roadrunner Records, following a demo containing a few of the songs which had previously been released in 1998. Later, it was reissued in December 1999 with a slightly-altered track listing and mastering as the result of a lawsuit. It was the first release by the band to be produced by Ross Robinson, who sought to refine Slipknot's sound rather than alter the group's musical direction. ''All Hope Is Gone'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot, released on August 26, 2008 by Roadrunner Records. The album was published in two versions: the standard album in a CD case and a special edition packaged in a six-fold digipak containing three bonus tracks, a 40 page booklet, and a bonus DVD with a documentary of the album's recording. Dirty Little Rabbits was an American alternative rock band formed in 2007 in Johnston, Iowa. They are often referred to as a side project of Shawn Crahan, a member and founder of heavy metal band Slipknot. The band has not been active since 2010. Downthesun (stylised in lowercase) was an American nu metal band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 1999. The group was known for their abrasive and heavy sound as well as their association with Slipknot. Downthesun was the only act signed to Slipknot's short-lived record label, Maggot Corps. The group released one studio album, 2002's '' Downthesun'', before breaking up in 2004. They briefly reunited in 2010 and have been inactive since 2011.
