Athlitikos Omilos Glyfadas (), formerly Keravnos Glyfada, is a Greek football club, based in Glyfada, Athens, currently competing in the second category of the EPS Athens (Ε.Π.Σ. Αθηνών) championship. History The association was founded, according to the old club logo, in 1976, as Keravnos Glyfada. The new logo of the association shows as year of foundation 1926, without any explanation. In the summer of 2009 the management of the club, under George Kalogeropoulos, accounted the Themostokli Egaleo that had financial troubles and the 2008–09 season fought in Delta Ethniki. So the Keravnos promoted to regional championship taking the place of Themistocles and projecting as a name abbreviated as "PAOK Glyfada". Elliniko Stadium
Hellinikon Stadium was a stadium located at the Hellinikon Olympic Complex in Hellinikon, Athens, located approximately 8 kilometres south of the center of Athens, near Glyfada on the Aegean Sea coast. Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. played its home matches there from 2007 to 2014. The complex was built on the site of the former Hellinikon International Airport for the staging of the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Paralympics and consisted of the following venues: Hellinikon Indoor Arena (Basketball and Team handball); Hellinikon Fencing Hall; Olympic Hockey Stadium (Field hockey); Helliniko Baseball Centre; Hellinikon Olympic Softball Stadium; and Hellinikon Slalom Centre (Whitewater slalom). Glyfada
Glyfada (, ) is a town and a suburb in the South Athens regional unit located in the Athens Riviera along the coast of Saronic Gulf. It is situated in the southern parts of the Athens#Athens Urban Area, Athens urban area. The area stretches from the foot of the Hymettus mountain to the Saronic Gulf. History In ancient times, the area was a deme known as Aixone (). Today, Glyfada is packed with some of the capital's best-known nightclubs, upscale restaurants and shops. It could be argued to be one of the most "Americanization, Americanized" of Athenian municipalities, since an American airbase was located nearby until the early 1990s. Aigaleo or Egaleo ( ) is a town and a suburban municipality in the western part of the Athens urban area, belonging to the West Athens regional administrative unit. The Gamma Ethniki (, C National Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. 2013–14 Football League (Greece)
The 2013–14 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the fourth season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. This is the first season after 1982–83 that the league has more than one groups. The groups are created based on geographical criteria. North Group In the north group, as well as in the south group, the bottom three teams are relegated. None of the teams will be promoted directly. The top four teams of each group will qualify to a playoff round, to determine the three teams which will be promoted to Super League.
