Giorgi Adamia
Georgi Adamia ( ka, გიორგი ადამია; born 10 March 1981) is a former Georgian football forward. In 2010, he became most capped foreign player in Azerbaijan Premier League. Career Club WIT Georgia Georgi Adamia started his career in his home country Georgia, in the club FC WIT Georgia. In 2004, the club won the Umaglesi Liga championship. Neftchi Baku After this, Adamia was noticed by Azerbaijan champions Neftchi Baku PFK, Neftchi Baku and he was bought by the club. With Neftchi, Adamia won the Azerbaijan Premier League Championship once, and was a runner-up once. He also was a runner up of the CIS Cup in 2005, and the top goalscorer of that competition. In 2006, he helped his side win the CIS Cup. 2010–11 FK Qarabağ Season
The FK Qarabağ, Qarabağ 2010–11 season was Qarabağ's 18th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their third season under Gurban Gurbanov. They finished the season in 3rd place, and were knocked out of the 2010–11 Azerbaijan Cup at the Last 16 stage by PFC Turan Tovuz, Turan Tovuz. They also participated in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League, entering at the first qualifying round stage. They beat FK Metalurg Skopje, Metalurg Skopje of Republic of Macedonia, Macedonia, before beating Portadown F.C., Portadown of Northern Ireland in the second qualifying round. Next they beat Wisła Kraków of Poland in the second qualifying round to make them the first Azerbaijani team to reach the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League qualifying phase and play-off round, Play-off Round of the Europa League. Qarabağ Futbol Klubu () is an Azerbaijani professional football club that competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top flight of Azerbaijani football. The club originates from Aghdam in the Karabakh ( Azerbaijani: ''Qarabağ'') region, but has not played in its hometown since 1993 due to the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. FK Baku
FC Baku (), founded as Dinamo Baku in 1997, was an Azerbaijani football club based in Baku that had been an amateur club since 2016. Prior to that, Baku played 18 seasons in the Azerbaijan Premier League, winning the championship twice and the National Cup three times. The club ceased operations in 2018. History Early years (1997–2004) Led by Shamil Heydarov, Dinamo finished 2nd and entered the 1998–99 UEFA Cup, but was eliminated by Argeş Piteşti 1–7 on aggregate in the preliminary round. In the 1997–98 season, Dinamo appointed Ruslan Abdullayev as their new head coach. Under the management of Abdullayev, the team passed the first part of the tournament well, although 3rd place and 52 points were not enough for medals or European cups, and Dinamo finished the season in 6th place.
