Ginie Lim Siew Lin
Ginie Lim Siew Lin (林秀凌) is a Malaysian woman politician. Ginie Lim is a member of People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Lim served as a one-term Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Machap Jaya from May 2018 to November 2021 and during which she also appointed a Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) member as Chairman of the Women, Welfare and Rural Development from 2018 until the 2020 political crisis. Lim was a progressive student leader during her years in Universiti Sains Malaysia. After graduated, she held National Secretary position in Malaysian Youth and Student Democratic Movement (DEMA) and Secretary of Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia (SMM) before she joined PKR in 2005. Lim, who is trilingual in Malay, Chinese and English, served as media coordinator under the party's Information Bureau. Koh Nai Kwong
Datuk Wira Koh Nai Kwong () is a Malaysian politician of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a major party in Malaysia's governing Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Koh was the Member of Parliament for Alor Gajah constituency, in Malacca after his election in the 2013 general election. Koh is a lawyer by profession. He obtained his LLB (Hons) law degree from the University of Wales. Koh was the Legal Adviser for Barisan Nasional for the state of Melaka 2006–2011. He was also the former Melaka State Executive Council (Exco) Member for the portfolio of housing, local authorities, environment and transportation. Koh is the Chief of MCA Bukit Katil Division, Melaka. 2018 Malacca State Election
The 14th Malacca election was held on 9 May 2018 to elect the State Assemblymen of the 14th Malacca State Legislative Assembly, the legislature of the Malaysian state of Malacca. The Malacca State Legislative Assembly dissolved on 7 April 2018 by the Head of State (Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca) on the advice of the Head of Government (Chief Minister of Malacca). The election was conducted by the Malaysian Election Commission (EC) and utilised the first-past-the-post system. Electoral candidates were nominated on 28 April. The People's Welfare Party or ''Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air'' (KITA) is a small political party in Malaysia, based in the state of Kelantan. Founded as AKIM (1995) The party was formerly known as the Malaysian People Justice Front or Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia when it was founded on 16 February 1995. AKIM was founded as a splinter party of Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party in 1995 following internal disagreements by members within the party. A few members from Parti Melayu Semangat 46 also joined the fray following its dissolution in 1996. Lai Meng Chong (; born 3 September 1951) is a Malaysian politician of Chinese descent from the town of Machap Baru in Malacca state. 2021 Malacca State Election
The 2021 Malacca state election, formally the 15th Malacca state election, took place on 20 November 2021. This election was to elect 28 members of the 15th Malacca State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 4 October 2021. The snap election of the state was called prematurely following a political crisis.
