Gandhi Alimasi Djuna (born 6 May 1986), known professionally as Maître Gims and more recently just Gims (stylized in all caps), is a Congolese singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. He grew up in France and currently lives in France and Morocco. He rose to fame as a member of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut. He pursued an individual career under the name Maître Gims in 2013. He previously released an extended play in 2006, titled '' Ceux qui dorment les yeux ouverts''. During his career he has worked with several international artists such as Sia, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Stromae, Maluma, Sting, and others. He has sold over 5 million records, including 3 million albums since the start of his career. Sexion d'Assaut (), formerly known as 3ème Prototype (for "Troisième Prototype" ), was a French hip hop band formed in 2002, composed of eight Parisian rappers. They are signed to independent record label Wati B, which is under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment France. The founding members were L.I.O. Black M, Maska (rapper), Maska and Lefa (rapper), Lefa. In 2003, it became a collective as Maître Gims and JR O Crom joined in. Throughout its existence, it included about 20 rappers, but set-up changed from time to time. The group distinguishes itself of staying away from "bling bling" that other French rappers have adopted. Monstre Marin Corporation (Sea Monster Corporation) known as MMC was a French record label, located in Paris. It was founded by rapper and singer Gims, and was affiliated with the Universal Music France record company. The first compilation of the label ''La Monster Party chapitre 1'' was published on 30 June 2014. At the same time, Gims opened a management firm called Warano Consulting. History In 2013, Gims founded Monstre Marin Corporation with Pascal Nègre. The latter announces the direct integration of MMC into Universal. Dadju Alimasi Nsungula (; born 2 May 1991), better known by the mononym Dadju or at times Prince Dadj, is a French-Congolese singer. He was signed to the label Wati B and in 2017 signed with Polydor Records of Universal Music Group. He was a member of the musical formation Shin Sekaï alongside rapper Abou Tall from 2012 to 2016. The duo was part of the label Wati B and released the album ''Indéfini''. The duo announced that they were breaking up so they can each follow solo careers. Bastien Vincent, known by his stage name Maska (born 21 May 1985 in Paris), is a French Rapping, rapper and dancer. He is a founding member of the French hip-hop band Sexion d'Assaut. In October 2014, Maska released his first solo album'', Espace-temps'', which ranked 14th on the Top Albums in France. Abdel Karim Fall, better known by his stage name Lefa (born 28 November 1985 in Paris), is a French rapper, singer and dancer. He is a founding member of the French rap / hip hop collective Sexion d'Assaut. He has also released solo materials in 2015 and 2016. In June 2015 he released his debut solo album ''Monsieur Fall'' with big commercial success. He was born to the Senegalese jazz musician Cheikh Tidiane Fall and his mother was a French choreographer and art therapist Christiane de Rougemont. Alpha Diallo (born 27 December 1984), better known by his stage name Black M (originally Black Mesrimes), is a French rapper, singer, songwriter and member of the Sexion d'Assaut group.
