Maska (rapper)
Bastien Vincent, known by his stage name Maska (born 21 May 1985 in Paris), is a French Rapping, rapper and dancer. He is a founding member of the French hip-hop band Sexion d'Assaut. In October 2014, Maska released his first solo album'', Espace-temps'', which ranked 14th on the Top Albums in France. Early life Originally from Lozère, he grew up in Paris in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, 9th arrondissement while mingling with his friends, most of whom would later become part of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut, Sexion d'Assault. He grew up in a rich neighborhood despite his family having a substandard income, an early situation in Bastien's life which would leave him with feelings of unease. Having experienced a musical awakening quite young thanks to his parents, Maska became a fan of French rap who, unlike Gims, ended up receiving a rather American musical education, influenced by Sisqó, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Johnny Clegg. ''L’Apogée'' is the third official album by French rap group Sexion d'Assaut composed of Gims, Maître Gims, Lefa (rapper), Lefa, Barack Adama, Maska (rapper), Maska, JR O Crom, Black M, Doomams, and L.I.O. Petrodollars. This album was released on 5 March 2012, in stores and available for download. History In November 2011, an unofficial date for the album's release was announced for 20 February 2012 but on 17 December 2011, the official date was unveiled as 5 March 2012. The first title unveiled by the band is "Mets pas celle là", 11 December 2011 (after the 'Welcome To The Wa' video shot in the album's laboratory, an isolated place in Normandy). L'Écrasement De Tête
L'Écrasement de tête (Head Crush) is the first street album by the Sexion d'Assaut collective (not taking into account the discography of the 3rd Prototype, the internal group of the Sexion d'Assaut). La Sexion d'Assaut was made up of the 3rd Prototype group and solo artists: Black M, Doomams, Balistik and L.I.O (Balistik and L.I.O, however, did not make the slightest appearance on the street album). Lefa said in a magazine in 2009 that the 3rd Prototype did not exist since the release of The Head Crush, therefore the Sexion D'Assaut is a band in its own right and no longer a collective. It was released on May 4, 2009 on Because Music. This disc will be the first to experience significant success, and really increase the group's notoriety among the general public. Sexion d'Assaut (), formerly known as 3ème Prototype (for "Troisième Prototype" ), was a French hip hop band formed in 2002, composed of eight Parisian rappers. They are signed to independent record label Wati B, which is under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment France. The founding members were L.I.O. Black M, Maska and Lefa. In 2003, it became a collective as Maître Gims and JR O Crom joined in. Throughout its existence, it included about 20 rappers, but set-up changed from time to time. The group distinguishes itself of staying away from "bling bling" that other French rappers have adopted. Planète Rap is a French radio programme broadcast on Skyrock, hosted by Fred Musa.
