Second element iudd as a noun means 'lord', found on p. 160 in the entry for "Maredudd". The name has many variations as a result of the natural evolution of the name in Welsh, as well as the translation of the name from Welsh into both Latin and English. The anglicized and Welsh forms are treated as different spellings of the same name in Wales. The name can also be associated with the Irish surname Griffin The griffin, griffon, or gryphon (; Classical Latin: ''gryps'' or ''grypus''; Late and Medieval Latin: ''gryphes'', ''grypho'' etc.; Old French: ''griffon'') is a -4; we might wonder whether there's a point at which it's appropriate to talk ....
