Geiselhöring is a town in the Straubing-Bogen district, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 14 km southwest of Straubing, and 30 km southeast of Regensburg. Luise Kinseher
Luise Kinseher (born 4 January 1969 in Geiselhöring) is a German cabaret artist and actress. Life Luise Kinseher, who was raised in the Lower Bavarian city of Geiselhöring, studied German philology, dramatics, and history in Munich. She wrote her Master's thesis about Sigi Zimmerschied and gained first stage experience as a cabaret actress in 1992. From 1993 to 1998 she was an ensemble member of the Iberl Bühne in Munich-Solln, where she worked with Georg Maier and performed in more than 800 shows. In 1998 she showcased her first solo programme ''Ende der Ausbaustrecke - Silent Thrill of Kabarett''. Director Franz Xaver Bogner discovered Kinseher as a Bavarian actress and cast her for his TV shows in key roles, for example as ''Hanna Graf'' in Café Meineid and as ''police station manager Thekla Eichenseher'' in München 7. Straubing-Bogen
Straubing-Bogen is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the eastern part of Bavaria, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Cham, Regen, Deggendorf, Dingolfing-Landau, Landshut and Regensburg. The independent town of Straubing is surrounded by the district. The seat of the government of the district ( Landratsamt) is located in Straubing. The only towns within the district itself are Bogen and Geiselhöring. Geography The main river is the Danube, which crosses the district from the west to the east. There are two major geographical regions in the district. Haindling is a German band founded in 1983 by Hans-Jürgen Buchner. The band specializes in Bavarian world music, a mixture of different musical styles such as pop, rock, folk, ambient, jazz and classical music. Most of the songs are written in Bavarian language. Straubing () is an independent city in Lower Bavaria, southern Germany. It is seat of the district of Straubing-Bogen. Annually in August the Gäubodenvolksfest, the second largest fair in Bavaria, is held. The city is located on the Danube forming the centre of the Gäuboden.
