''Gatecrasher'' is a light-hearted science fantasy role-playing game published by Grey Ghost Press in 1996. Description ''Gatecrasher'' is a role-playing game set in the 24th century, where a transdimensional gate has been opened, allowing magic into the world. The game is more light-hearted than dark, featuring monsters like "Golf Balls from Hell" and "Killer Pancakes", and deep space asteroids named Cheesers and This Stinking Rock. Grey Ghost Press
Grey Ghost Press was founded in 1994 by Ann Dupuis after spending time working on the '' Fudge RPG'' system by Steffan O'Sullivan. She initially created the company as Wild Mule Games in 1994, incorporated her company the following year as Ghostdancer Press, and then renamed it Grey Ghost Press. The company soon became the owner of the copyright to ''Fudge'' and began officially publishing the system with their first release ''Fudge 1995 Edition''. Later they re-released the system as ''Fudge 1995 Expanded Edition''. The company also published other games based on the ''Fudge'' rules, such as ''Gatecrasher'' and ''Terra Incognita''. ''Dragon'' is one of the two official magazines for source material for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game and associated products, along with '' Dungeon''. TSR, Inc. originally launched the monthly printed magazine in 1976 to succeed the company's earlier publication, ''The Strategic Review''. The final printed issue was #359 in September 2007. TSR, Inc. was an American game publishing company, best known as the original publisher of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D''). Its earliest incarnation, Tactical Studies Rules, was founded in October 1973 by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye. Gygax had been unable to find a publisher for ''D&D'', a new type of game he and Dave Arneson were co-developing, so founded the new company with Kaye to self-publish their products. Needing financing to bring their new game to market, Gygax and Kaye brought in Brian Blume in December as an equal partner. ''Dungeons & Dragons'' is generally considered the first tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), and established the genre. ''Shadis'' is an independent Game, gaming magazine that was published in 1990–1998 by Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG). It initially focused on role-playing games. Publication history Shadis was conceived and started by Jolly Blackburn as an independent gaming fanzine in 1990.
