Gary Malarkey
Gary Robert Malarkey (born 23 May 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer, who represented East Perth ( WAFL), Geelong (VFL/AFL), Geelong West ( VFA), Western Australia, and Victoria. A list of regular opponents that included Hudson, Quinlan, Templeton, Blight and Roach would daunt most defenders but for the hard working and dedicated Gary Malarkey it was all in a day's work. An All Australian and a Victorian as well as West Australian representative prior to state of origin football, Malarkey was recognised as the most effective full back of his era. East Perth Malarkey was born at Armadale, but learnt the Australian game at Trinity College and joined East Perth at the age of 18. Michael Roach (footballer)
Michael Terrence Roach (born 9 October 1958) is a former Australian rules football player who represented Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1977 to 1989. Remembered for his long, accurate kicking for goal and strong marking, for a brief period Roach was the best forward in Australian football. The second of four key forwards recruited by Richmond from Tasmania (the others being Royce Hart, Matthew Richardson and Jack Riewoldt), Roach was an enormously popular player whose career did not quite live up to expectation because of injury and constant shuffling of his position by the club. Rod Waddell
Rod Waddell (born 23 May 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton and Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Waddell played suburban football for the Lalor Football Club in the Diamond Valley Football League. In 1981, he was recruited to the Victorian Football League, and he was initially zoned to , where he played some reserves football. However, this was an error: Lalor was one of only two DVFL clubs which was not part of Collingwood's zone, and Waddell should actually have been zoned to . Because the Collingwood reserves team had fielded him without the proper clearance, it was stripped of four premiership points that it had earned with him in the team in 1981. After the error was cleared up, Waddell moved to Carlton. Renowned for his quick pace, Waddell played three senior games in late 1981, and two in 1982 before being cleared to Geelong mid-season. Gary Ablett Sr. (born 1 October 1961), is a former professional Australian rules footballer who represented and in the Australian Football League (AFL). Nicknamed "God", Ablett is widely regarded as one of Australian football's greatest players, and was especially renowned for his high-flying spectacular marks and his prolific goalkicking. After playing for several country teams in and around his hometown of Drouin, Victoria, Ablett was recruited by Hawthorn and made his Victorian Football League (VFL) debut in 1982. Graham 'Polly' Farmer
Graham Vivian "Polly" Farmer (10 March 1935 14 August 2019) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and the East Perth Football Club and West Perth Football Club in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). Born in Western Australia and of indigenous heritage through his Noongar mother, Farmer is considered one of the greatest footballers in the game's history; when the Australian Football Hall of Fame was established in 1996, Farmer was among the 12 inaugural players given 'legend' status. He is primarily recognised for the way he revolutionised ruckwork and handballing.
