Garjanam
''Garjanai'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil language film directed by C. V. Rajendran, starring Rajinikanth and Madhavi. The music was scored by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was simultaneously shot in Malayalam as ''Garjanam'' and in Kannada as ''Garjane'' (). All three versions of the film failed at the box office. ''Garjanai'' ran for 52 days in Chennai making it one of Rajinikanth's films with the shortest run in theatres. It marked Rajinikanth's last Malayalam and Kannada film role till date. Plot ''This is about the Tamil version only''. Dr. Vijay is an honest doctor who confronts a dangerous, diabolical gang led by Dr. Mithra and Parasuram. The gang contaminates common food items with lethal substances and profits by supplying antidotes. Geetha is Vijay's love interest, while Rekha is his sister. Krishnan Madhavan Nair (25 July 1939 – 16 November 1980), better known by his stage name Jayan, born as the son of Madhavan Pillai (Kerala title), Pillai and Bharathiyamma in Kollam district, Kollam, was an Indian actor, Officer (armed forces), naval officer, and stunt performer of the 1970s and 1980s. Leelavathi (actress)
Leena Sequeira (1937 – 8 December 2023), known mononymously as Leelavathi, was an Indian actress, producer who worked predominantly in Kannada and Tamil films, in addition to few Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tulu films. Poornam Viswanathan (14 November 1921 – 1 October 2008) was an Indian actor who predominantly appeared in Tamil films. He started performing on stage at age 18. He worked as a reader for All India Radio, He was the first person in India to announce India was Independent on August 15 in All India Radio.
