Furuset Forum
Furuset Forum is an indoor sports arena located in the eastern parts of Oslo, Norway. The capacity of the arena is 2,050 and was opened 1998, replacing the earlier arena, which was built in 1979. Its main focus is ice hockey, but also regular indoor sports facilities currently utilized by Handball, Floorball and more. Located in Søren Bulls vei, it is within proximity of the underground trains. The facility is also equipped with three dedicated parking spots for people with disabilities and has a cafeteria where traditional Norwegian waffles and soft drinks can be purchased. It is the home of Furuset ice hockey team, the club behind names like Bjørn "Botta" Skaare, Petter Sæther and Jon Warset. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Bjørn Skaare
Bjørn Skaare (29 October 1958 – 21 June 1989) was a Norway, Norwegian ice hockey player. He was the first Norwegian to play in the National Hockey League, NHL, playing a single game with the Detroit Red Wings during the 1978–79 NHL season. Playing career Skaare's talent was evident at an early age. He made his debut for Furuset Ishockey, Furuset before he had turned 16. In 1976, he was signed by Färjestads BK, Färjestad of the Sweden, Swedish Swedish Hockey League, Elitserien, although he returned to Furuset within a year. In the fall of 1977, Skaare moved to Canada, where he was signed by the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League, where he became a teammate of future NHL star Bobby Smith (hockey player), Bobby Smith. Jordal Amfi (often called Nye Jordal Amfi) is an indoor ice hockey arena, located in the Jordal district of Oslo, Norway. The 5,300-spectator arena is part of the multi-sports complex Jordal Idrettspark and serves as the home of Eliteserien (ice hockey) side Vålerenga Ishockey. Construction on the new arena started in January 2017, with completion in September 2020. History The 2020 Jordal Amfi is the second ice hockey arena to be built on the site.
