Bjørn Skaare
Bjørn Skaare (29 October 1958 – 21 June 1989) was a Norway, Norwegian ice hockey player. He was the first Norwegian to play in the National Hockey League, NHL, playing a single game with the Detroit Red Wings during the 1978–79 NHL season. Playing career Skaare's talent was evident at an early age. He made his debut for Furuset Ishockey, Furuset before he had turned 16. In 1976, he was signed by Färjestads BK, Färjestad of the Sweden, Swedish Swedish Hockey League, Elitserien, although he returned to Furuset within a year. In the fall of 1977, Skaare moved to Canada, where he was signed by the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League, where he became a teammate of future NHL star Bobby Smith (hockey player), Bobby Smith. Centre (ice Hockey)
The centre (or center in the United States) in ice hockey is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is the middle of the ice, away from the sideboards. Centres have more flexibility in their positioning and therefore often end up covering more ice surface than any other player. Centres are ideally strong, fast skaters who are able to back-check quickly from deep in the opposing zone. Generally, centres are expected to be gifted passers more so than goal scorers, although there are exceptions - typically larger centres who position themselves directly in front of the net in order to score off rebounds. They are also expected to have exceptional "ice vision", intelligence, and creativity. Bobby Smith (hockey Player)
Robert David Smith (born February 12, 1958) is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. Smith is majority owner of the Halifax Mooseheads junior hockey team. He played for the Minnesota North Stars and Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL). Smith was born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Playing career As a junior playing for the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League (OMJHL) in the 1977–78 season, Smith set league records that still stand more than thirty years later for most assists (123) and most points (192) in a single season. The 20 year old Smith beat out 17 year old Wayne Gretzky (182 points) for that year's OMJHL scoring title, while also winning the Red Tilson Trophy as the OMJHL's most outstanding player and was voted the CHL Player of the Year for the entire Canadian Hockey League. Tom Webster (ice Hockey)
Thomas Ronald "Hawkeye" Webster (October 4, 1948 – April 10, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player and coach. Playing career Originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the 1966 NHL Entry Draft, Webster played in a total of 102 National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. Webster scored 30 goals for the Red Wings in the 1970-71 season, but only managed 3 goals in 12 games of the 1971-72 season. He also played 352 games for the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association, scoring 40 or more goals three times. Spinal fusion surgercomplicated the end of his career, and Webster retired in 1981 at age 31. Coaching career After retiring as a player, Webster had been the coach for a number of teams at various levels of hockey. Kristinehamn
Kristinehamn is a locality and the seat of Kristinehamn Municipality, Värmland County, Sweden, with 17,839 inhabitants in 2010. Geography Kristinehamn is situated by the shores of lake Vänern where the small rivers ''Varnan'' and ''Löt'' drain into the lake. It has a harbour and is a railroad and road transportation center. Karlskoga
Karlskoga () is a locality and the seat of Karlskoga Municipality, Sweden. Located within Örebro County, 45 km (28 mi) west of Örebro, and 10 km (6 mi) north of Degerfors. With a 2020 population of 27,386 distributed over 10.55 square miles (27.33 km2), Karlskoga is the second-largest city in both Örebro County and the historical province of Värmland.
