Friesenjung
"Friesenjung" () is a 1993 song by German comedian and musician Otto Waalkes and a parody of Sting (musician), Sting's "Englishman in New York", in which Frisian life (relating to East Frisia, the region where Waalkes comes from) is highlighted. German rapper Ski Aggu and Dutch musician Joost Klein used a sample of the song in their own track "Friesenjung", which was released as a single on 25 May 2023. Otto Gerhard Waalkes (born 22 July 1948), also known as simply Otto, is a German comedian, actor, musician, writer, and comic book artist. He became famous in the 1970s and 1980s in Germany with his shows, books and films. His best known trademark are the 'Ottifanten' ('Ottiphants'), elephant-like comic characters of his own design. They featured on the cover of his first album release. "Englishman in New York" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Sting, from his second studio album '' Nothing Like the Sun'', released in October 1987. Branford Marsalis played soprano saxophone on the track, while the drums were played by Manu Katché and the percussion by Mino Cinélu.
