Friedhelm Busse
Friedhelm Busse (4 February 1929 – 23 July 2008) was a German neo-Nazi politician and activist. In a career taking in some six decades Busse established himself as a leading voice of German neo-Nazism. Early activism The son of an SA Sturmbannführer, Busse was born in Bochum and served in the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend in 1945. After the war Busse served in the Bund Deutscher Jugend, a semi-clandestine anti-Soviet Union paramilitary squad exposed in the German press as a front operation for the CIA in 1952. He then became active in '' Reichsjugend'', the youth wing of the Socialist Reich Party and later the Deutsche Reichspartei. During the early 1960s he took an active role in terrorism in the majority-German speaking Italian province of South Tyrol, and was arrested in 1963 for possession of dynamite. VSBD Busse joined the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD) in 1964 and soon became one of the party's leading members in North Rhine-Westphalia. As a membe ... ''Friede'' (German: peace) was a fictional spacecraft designed by Hermann Oberth and was featured in the 1929 silent movie ''Woman in the Moon''. The ''Friede'' was, at the time, the most realistic depiction of space travel, having multiple stages, liquid fuel, and other details. Having the ''Friede'' submerged in water before launch was not replicated for actual Moon launches, however. In the film, the ''Friede'' carried five passengers and a stowaway. The ''Friede'' was designed to travel to the Moon in search of gold, and the crew successfully found gold on the Moon. One crew member, Turner, tried to hijack the ship. Turner was shot and killed, but the bullets damaged the oxygen tanks, and the crew came to the grim realization that one of them must remain. Two people stayed behind on the Moon, which was depicted as having a breathable atmosphere. Fedelm
Fedelm (sometimes spelled Feidelm; modern Fidelma) is a female prophet and '' fili'', or learned poet, in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. She appears in the great epic '' Táin Bó Cuailnge'', in which she foretells the armies of Medb and Ailill mac Máta will face against the Ulaid and their greatest champion, Cú Chulainn. A prophetess of the same name appears in another tale, which associates her with Cú Chulainn. ''Táin Bó Cuailnge'' Fedelm appears in the opening scene of the '' Táin Bó Cuailnge'', preserved in Recension I.Koch, "Fedelm." Hurricane Bawbag Hurricane Bawbag, also known as Cyclone Friedhelm was an intense extratropical cyclone which brought hurricane-force winds to Scotland at the beginning of December 2011. The storm also brought prolonged gales and rough seas to the rest of the British Isles, as well as parts of Scandinavia. On 8 December, winds reached up to at elevated areas, with sustained wind speeds of up to reported across populous areas. The winds uprooted trees and resulted in the closure of many roads, bridges, schools and businesses. Overall, the storm was the worst to affect Scotland in 10 years, though a stronger storm occurred less than a month afterwards, on 3 January 2012. Although the follow-up storm was more intense, the winter of 2011–12 is usually remembered for '' Bawbag'' among Scots.
