Friedebert Tuglas short story award ( et, Friedebert Tuglase novelliauhind) is an Estonian literary award. The award was established in 1970 by Friedebert Tuglas itself. Lehte Hainsalu (married name Lehte Sööt; born 31 October 1938, Haaslava Parish, Tartu County) is an Estonian writer, poet and politician. In 1961 she graduated from Tartu State University, studied Estonian philology. Aino Pervik (born 22 April 1932 in Rakvere) is an Estonian children's writer, and translator. She is "considered the bravest children's writer" in contemporary Estonia, as "she takes on difficult themes of immigration, cultural conflict, corruption, and the loss of cultural identity". Life and career Pervik began her schooling at Järvakandi Factories in 1939, continued in 1946–1950 in Tallinn, and graduated from Tartu State University in 1955 with a degree in Finno-Ugric philology. Vaino Vahing (15 February 1940 – 23 March 2008), was an Estonian writer, prosaist, psychiatrist and playwright. Starting from 1973, he was a member of the Estonian Writers Union. Early life Vlahing was born in Aravu, Põlva County. Aadu Hint (birthname Adolf Edmund Hint; 10 January 1910, Külasema, Muhu Island – 26 October 1989, Tallinn) was an Estonian writer. Most of his books are related to dwellers, who are living on Estonian islands. After studying in Lümanda and Kuressaare, he worked as a teacher. From 1940 to 1947, he was a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the ESSR. From second half of 1940s, he was a professional writer, and lived in Tallinn. He was married to Debora Vaarandi (1916-2007) and Minni Nurme (1917-1994). He had eight children. Several amongst them are writers, e.g. Eeva Park. He died in 1989. He is buried in the Kihelkonna Kihelkonna is a small borough ( et, alevik) in Saare County, on the western part of Saaremaa Island, Estonia.
