Fresno (band)
Fresno is a Brazilian people, Brazilian rock music, rock band formed in Porto Alegre in late 1999. As of 2020, members are Lucas Silveira (vocals, bass guitar, bass, rhythm guitar, keyboard instrument, keyboards), Gustavo Mantovani (lead guitar) and Thiago Guerra (Drum kit, drums). They already have ten albums, the most recent being "Vou Ter Que Me Virar". Biography 1999-2000: Early days Lucas, Gustavo, Leandro and Pedro met in high school and were part of the student council. After a meeting in late 1999 they had the idea to start a band so they could have fun doing Punk rock, punk versions of pop hits of the time. Lucas and Gustavo played the guitar, Pedro had a drum kit and Leandro would be the singer. In December 4 of that year the band gathered for the first rehearsal session at Pedro's house, in Porto Alegre. MTV Brasil
MTV Brasil was a Brazilian over-the-air television network owned by Grupo Abril focused on the youth and entertainment. The network was launched on 20 October 1990, as the first specialty television network to broadcast over-the-air, becoming the local version of MTV. It was the third MTV iteration launched in the world, and the first to broadcast via terrestrial television. The network headquarters was at 52 Avenida Professor Alfonso Bovero, Sumaré, São Paulo city, which was formerly the headquarters of Rede Tupi. Chitãozinho & Xororó
Chitãozinho & Xororó () are a Brazilian sertanejo duo. Chitãozinho is the stage name of José Lima Sobrinho and Xororó of Durval de Lima. Their music, which combines traditional Brazilian '' caipira'' with pop, was instrumental in establishing the ''sertanejo'' genre. They have sold over 40 million albums since their first album was released in 1969. Chitãozinho and Xororó are brothers, and were trained in music by their father, a vocalist and composer. They first performed publicly under the name Irmãos Lima, playing at '' festas juninas'' in Brazil. Their debut television appearance came in 1967 on Silvio Santos's show, and in 1969 they played on ''Cidade Sertaneja''. Armandinho (Brazilian Guitarist)
Armandinho (born Armando da Costa Macêdo, May 23, 1953) is a Brazilian composer and singer. He was born in Salvador, the son of Osmar Macêdo, from the world's first trio elétrico, the Trio Elétrico de Dodô e Osmar. (In the 1940s, at the same time the electric guitar was invented, Osmar Macêdo along with bandmate Adolfo Nascimento ho was an electrical engineerindependently created the Guitarra Baiana, a type of electric cavaquinho, which gave the Trio Elétrico its name.) In his early career, he played in his bands Trio Elétrico Mirim in 1962 and Hell's Angels in 1967. Forfun
Forfun was a Brazilian alternative rock band which reached the peak of its popularity in the mid- to late 2000s. Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2001, their initial line-up comprised vocalist/guitarist Danilo Cutrim, bassist Vítor Isensee and drummer Bruno Tizé. By 2002, Tizé left the band and was replaced by Nicholas Christ, while Isensee switched his position with Rodrigo Costa to become second guitarist. Moptop (band)
Moptop is a Brazilian alternative rock band from Rio de Janeiro, popular throughout the mid- to late 2000s. Initially known as DeLux, they were formed in 2003 and comprised vocalist/lead guitarist Gabriel Marques, rhythm guitarist Rodrigo Curi, bassist Daniel Campos and drummer Mário Mamede.
