Frank Aleksandersen
Frank Aleksandersen (born 30 May 1953, in Namsos) is a Norwegian singer, drummer and lyricist. For a while, he was the drummer for the jazz-inspired band Vanessa. He is the cousin of the trønderrocker Åge Aleksandersen. As a 17-year-old, he moved to Oslo to become a hairdresser. Album releases Frank appeared on the Venessa album ''City Lips'', which was released in 1975. His first solo album as a singer was ''Tilbake til meg selv'', and was a pop album. The album was released in 1979, and was followed with a new album two years later, ''Krampe''. His third album, ''Frank'', came in 1982, and his music returned closer to rock. For while, he recorded under the name Frank Aleksandersen Band. On the album ''Vi e som vi e'', recorded in Trondheim in 1985, he had the help of Åge Aleksandersen, Marius Müller and Jonas Fjeld, among others. ( sma, Nåavmesjenjaelmie) is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Namdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Namsos. Some of the villages in the municipality include Bangsund, Klinga, Ramsvika, Skomsvoll, Spillum, Sævik, Dun, Salsnes, Nufsfjord, Lund, Namdalseid, Sjøåsen, Statland, Tøttdalen, and Sverkmoen. Norway was represented by Kate Gulbrandsen, with the song "Mitt liv", at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 9 May in Brussels. "Mitt liv" was chosen as the Norwegian entry at the Melodi Grand Prix on 28 February. Before Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix 1987 The MGP was held at the Château Neuf in Oslo, hosted by Eldbjørg Vaage. Ten songs took part in the final, with the winner chosen by voting from seven regional juries. Other participants included 1981 Norwegian entrant Finn Kalvik and Tor Endresen, making the first of seven appearances at MGP before finally being successful on his eighth attempt in 1997. At Eurovision On the night of the final Gulbrandsen performed first in the running order, preceding Israel. Norway played host to the Eurovision Song Contest 1986, so the country was automatically entered into the final in Bergen. Before Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix 1986 The Norwegian national final to select their entry, the '' Melodi Grand Prix 1986'', was held on 22 March 1986 at the Stavanger Forum convention center in Stavanger, hosted by actor Jarl Goli. The Band was conducted by Fred Nøddelund. Ten songs competed with the winner being decided by four regional juries ( Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim and Vadsø), a press jury composed of newspaper, radio and television journalists, the inhabitants of the Statfjord A oil rig in the North Sea and the studio audience in Stavanger. Melodi Grand Prix (), commonly known as Grand Prix and MGP, sometimes as Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix ( no, Norsk Melodi Grand Prix), is an annual music competition organised by Norwegian public broadcaster Norsk Rikskringkasting (NRK). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged almost every year since 1960. The festival has produced three Eurovision winners, a non-winning televote winner and nine top-five placings for Norway at the contest. However, Norway holds the record for the number of entries who have come last since entering Eurovision; 11 in all.
