Fowler Family
The Beales and the Fowlers are a fictional family in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. They were the main family for storylines in early episodes of ''EastEnders'', and remained as such ever since. With at least one member of the family having been a member of the cast from the first episode in February 1985, they are the show's longest serving family. The original Beale/Fowler family consisted of matriarch Lou Beale (Anna Wing) and her children Pete ( Peter Dean) and Pauline (Wendy Richard), alongside their families including their children Ian (Adam Woodyatt), Mark ( David Scarboro/Todd Carty), Michelle (Susan Tully/Jenna Russell) and their spouses Kathy Hills ( Gillian Taylforth) and Arthur Fowler ( Bill Treacher). Martin Fowler is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera, ''EastEnders''. The character was played by Jon Peyton-Price from Martin's introduction 1985 until 1996, by James Alexandrou from 1996 until 2007 and by James Bye from 2014 until 2025 when the character was tragically killed-off during the 40th anniversary live episode. Joe Wicks is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Paul Nicholls. Tiffany Butcher (also Dean and Butcher-Baker) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Maisie Smith. Tiffany is the daughter of established characters Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen), though originally she was believed to be Bianca's daughter with a man named Nathan Dean. Liam Butcher is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Sonny Bottomley for two months in 1998 and 1999, twins Jack and Tom Godolphin from 1999, Gavin and Mitchell Vaughan in 2002, and Nathaniel Gleed from 2002 to 2004. Bianca Jackson (also Butcher) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders,'' played by Patsy Palmer. The character was introduced by executive producer Leonard Lewis and appeared initially from 1993 to 1999, when Palmer opted to leave. Simon "Wicksy" Wicks is a fictional character from the British BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Nick Berry between 1985 and 1990. Wicksy was introduced to take on some of the more adult storylines that had been scripted for another character, Mark Fowler; Mark's actor, David Scarboro, had left the serial prematurely due to personal problems.
