The Four Consciousnesses () is a political concept first proposed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) general secretary Xi Jinping in January 2016. The concept forms part of the core of the curriculum of the mandatory ideological instructional Situation and Policy classes in higher education. The Communist Party of China (CPC), also translated into English as Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is the founding and One-party state, sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is the executive committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
