Massa (; ) is a town and ''comune'' in Tuscany, central Italy, the administrative centre of the province of Massa and Carrara. It is located in the Frigido River Valley, near the Alpi Apuane, from the Tyrrhenian Sea. History Massa is mentioned for the first time in the Tabula Peutingeriana, a 2nd-4th century AD itinerary, with the name ''ad Tabernas frigidas'', referring perhaps to a stage on the Via Aemilia Scauri consular road from Pisa to Luni. Moena ( Ladin: ''Moéna'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) and a village in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about northeast of Trento. It is the largest comune in the Fassa Valley. In the census of 2001, 1,967 inhabitants out of 2,602 (75.6%) declared Ladin as their native language. Henry Forno (April 23, 1798 – January 31, 1866) was an American military officer during the Mexican-American War and later a Confederate army officer during the American Civil War. After being wounded in action, he was transferred to command of a Confederate prison camp. Gaetano Pace Forno
Gaetano Pace Forno (5 June 1809 – 22 July 1874) was a Maltese Archbishop who became the Bishop of Malta after his predecessor Archbishop Publio Maria dei Conti Sant tendered his resignation. Biography Pace Forno was born in Victoria, Gozo on 5 June 1809 to a lawyer Francesco Pace and the Noble Lucia dei Baroni Forno. He was baptized on the same day at St George's basilica. On 20 July 1824 he was professed as a member of the Order of Saint Augustine. He was ordained priest in Naples in 1832. He spent a great number of years as an educator in Italy until 30 May 1847, when he was chosen Provincial of the Maltese Augustinian Province. He is also considered as the founder of the college for boys at the Valletta convent which opened on 23 September 1848. On 11 December 1854 he was chosen Provincial for a second term. Enzo Del Forno
Enzo Del Forno (born 24 January 1950) is a retired Italian high jumper who won three medals at the International athletics competitions. Biography Del Forno finished tenth at the 1972 Olympic Games and fifth at the 1974 European Indoor Championships. He then won a silver medal at the 1975 Mediterranean Games. At the Summer Universiade he won a bronze medal in 1973 and a gold in 1975. Nationally Del Forno won five high jump titles, three outdoors (1973–1975) and two indoors (1973, 1974). His personal best jump is 2.22 metres, achieved in October 1975 in Siracusa.
