Force Gurkha
The Force Gurkha is a compact SUV produced by Indian manufacturer Force Motors. The original and second generation Gurkha are produced as two-door SUVs with options of a removable hard or soft top. Standard equipment includes mechanical differential locks for the front and rear axles, a snorkel that allows it to drive through water 700 mm deep, and a transfer case with low ratios. The Gurkha was popularly known as the ''"Desi G-Wagen,"'' this vehicle has earned its nickname due to its resemblance to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. A locking differential is a mechanical component, commonly used in vehicles, designed to overcome the chief limitation of a standard open Differential (mechanical device), differential by essentially "locking" both wheels on an axle together as if on a common shaft. Bharat stage emission standards (BSES) are emission standards instituted by the Government of India to regulate the output of air pollutants from compression ignition engines and Spark-ignition engines equipment, including motor vehicles.
