Flomena Chepchirchir
Flomena Chepchirchir (born 1 December 1981) is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon events. Chepchirchir has won half marathons in Venlo, Glasgow and Zwolle. She is a two-time winner of the BIG 25 Berlin race. She has a half marathon best of 1:08:22 hours and a marathon best of 2:23:00 hours. Biography Chepchirchir was born in Embu, in Kenya's Eastern Province. One of her earliest wins came at the Cursa de Bombers in 2002, where she won the 10K race in a time of 33:10 minutes. She won the 10K section of the Lidingöloppet cross country race a year later. Chepchirchir began to establish herself in Europe around 2006. That year she came fourth at the Glasgow Half Marathon with a time of 1:11:30 hours, won the Maastrichts Mooiste 15K and came first in the half marathon section of the Drenthe Marathon. The Utrecht Marathon is an annual marathon competition which takes place in Utrecht, the Netherlands, usually in April. It was first held in 1978. In addition to the main marathon competition, the day's events include a half marathon, 10 km, and 1.5 km races. Joyce Chepkirui
Joyce Chepkirui (born 20 August 1988) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in road running events. She established herself as a half marathon runner, winning races in Granollers, Bogotá and Gothenburg. She set a best of 1:06:19 hours to win the 2014 Prague Half Marathon. She also competes in 10K road races and her personal best of 30:38 minutes makes her fifth fastest woman ever. Chepkirui began competing in cross country running in 2012 and won the Kenyan and African titles. She also competes on the track over 1500 metres and was the silver medallist at the 2011 All-Africa Games. Career Chepkirui grew up in the Buret District of Kenya's Rift Valley Province. Appingedam (; gos, n Daam) is a city and former municipality in the northeastern Netherlands. Although there is no certainty as to the exact age of Appingedam, historical research demonstrates that the place in which the city would eventually be built had been inhabited for over a millennium. The Great Scottish Run is a series of mass-participation road running events, held annually in the streets of Glasgow, Scotland in October. Kärnten läuft is an annual half marathon road running race around the lake Wörthersee. It starts in Velden am Wörther See and ends in Klagenfurt. It has been held every year since 2002 and typically takes place in August. Prior to the launch of the competition, a local athletics club, the ''Klagenfurter Leichtathletik Club'', held the Klagenfurter Marathon in the region. The CPC Loop Den Haag (abbreviated for ''City-Pier-City Loop'') is an annual half marathon competition held in the Hague, Netherlands, every mid-March. The inaugural edition was held in 1975 and featured a 14.5 km course. This was extended to the half marathon distance the following year. Egmond Half Marathon
The Egmond Half Marathon ( nl, Egmond Halve Marathon) is an annual half marathon race over 21.1 kilometres that has been staged in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands since 1973. The competition normally takes place in early January. Sections of the road race cross along the beach and sand dunes of the village, situated on the North Sea coast. Peninah Arusei Jerop (born 1 January 1979) is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who specialises in road running competitions, especially the half marathon. She has represented Kenya at the Olympics, having competed in the 10,000 metres race at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Arusei has won races on the European road circuit, including the Dam tot Damloop, Berlin Half Marathon and Lisbon Half Marathon. Career She won the Baringo 15 km Road Race in 2007, finishing in a time of 50:52. She represented Kenya at the 2007 Military World Games and won the 5000 metres gold medal, helping Kenyan top the athletics medal table.
