Flamingods
Flamingods are a four-piece alternative rock band from London and Bahrain founded by Kamal Rasool in 2010. The band's other members are Karthik Poduval, Sam Rowe and Charles Prest (a fifth member, Craig Doporto, operated with the band from 2011-2016). The band weaves through genres of psychedelia, new wave, electronica and punk whilst notably taking influence from their unique cultural heritages. They are known for rotating positions during their live sets, with each member swapping instruments in between tracks, moving around and evolving as the set goes on. History The band grew up together in Bahrain, playing music in various guises since the age of sixteen. When Rasool moved to London to study music, he recruited his friends from Bahrain who were also studying in the UK. During ATP festival in 2010, the band played together for the first time. Dustin Wong
Dustin Wong is an American guitarist formerly active in the art-rock band Ponytail and a former member of the experimental guitar duo Ecstatic Sunshine (along with Matthew Papich). Biography Wong's style is characterized by influences of surf rock and John Fahey. Wong was born in Hawaii and grew up in Japan, though he is half Chinese. Together with Matt Papich he formed the duo Ecstatic Sunshine and released two albums. Wong left Ecstatic Sunshine in 2007 to fully focus on Ponytail and solo projects. Wong's first solo record in 2009 on Wildfire Wildfire was entitled ''Seasons''. Wong published a second solo-album ''Infinite Love'' in October 2010. A 40-minute piece cut into 15 tracks and then re-done on a 2nd CD. This instrumental release appeared on Thrill Jockey. After releasing the record he went on tour in Europe. Gilles Jérôme Moehrle MBE (; born 28 September 1964), better known as Gilles Peterson (), is a broadcaster, DJ, record label and festival owner. He is renowned for his genre-defying approach to music with jazz at its core. From this base he has systematically championed a whole range of music from across the globe moving from dance music to experimental and all points in-between. Career Radio Peterson was first heard as a DJ on London pirate station Radio Invicta. Dan Carey (record Producer)
Daniel De Mussenden Carey (born 24 December 1969) is an English record producer, songwriter, mixer and remixer. He owns his own studio in South London and runs the record label Speedy Wunderground. In 2014, Carey received two Mercury Prize nominations for his production work on two nominated albums: ''Everybody Down'' by Kae Tempest and ''First Mind'' by Nick Mulvey. In 2019, Carey earned two further Mercury Prize nominations for his production work on the albums ''Schlagenheim'' by Black Midi and ''Dogrel'' by Fontaines D.C. Carey produced and played synthesizer on the debut album by the British band Wet Leg. Carey previously produced for the London-based labels Dust Records, Dust2Dust and DMI. Andy Bell (Welsh Musician)
Andrew Piran Bell (born 11 August 1970) is a Welsh musician. He is one of two vocalists and guitarists of the rock band Ride (band), Ride, and is the bassist of Oasis (band), Oasis from 1999 until their breakup in 2009 and since their reunion in 2024. Bell was also a member of Hurricane No. 1, Hurricane #1 as well as Beady Eye, an offshoot of Oasis, until their breakup in 2014. With Ride, Bell helped pioneer shoegaze, an alternative rock subgenre which reached its peak popularity in the early 1990s. Bell also wrote one song or more on each of Oasis' final three albums. Oasis are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Meridian Brothers is an experimental band led by classically trained Colombian musician Eblis Álvarez, who founded it as a solo project in Bogotá in 1998. The group mix electronic and avant-garde music with traditional Colombian music styles, particularly cumbia, vallenato, and salsa.
