Finella Dubia
''Finella'' is a genus of sea snails, marine (ocean), marine gastropod mollusks in the family (biology), family Scaliolidae. This genus has been assigned in the course of time to different families by different authors: Rissoidae, Cerithiidae, Dialidae, Obtortionidae, Finellidae and Diastomatidae Morphological and anatomical studies by Winston Ponder in 1994 established that the genera ''Finella'' and ''Scaliola'' didn't belong in the above-mentioned families and he brought them in a new family Scaliolidae. This was supported in 1982 by Healy through the study of the ultrastructure on the spermatozoa. Description The species in this genus contain a small, elongated, conical shell without siphonal canal. The axial to spiral Sculpture (mollusc), sculpture varies between weak and strong. Distribution The snails of this species are common to even abundant in shallow waters of the tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean. Species Species within the genus ''Finella'' include: * ''Finella ad ...

Spermatozoa
A spermatozoon (; also spelled spermatozoön; : spermatozoa; ) is a motile sperm cell (biology), cell produced by male animals relying on internal fertilization. A spermatozoon is a moving form of the ploidy, haploid cell (biology), cell that is the male gamete that Fertilization, joins with an ovum to form a zygote. (A zygote is a single cell, with a complete set of chromosomes, that normally develops into an embryo.) Sperm cells contribute approximately half of the nuclear gene, genetic information to the diploid offspring (excluding, in most cases, mitochondrial DNA). In mammals, the sex of the offspring is determined by the sperm cell: a spermatozoon bearing an X chromosome will lead to a female (XX) offspring, while one bearing a Y chromosome will lead to a male (XY) offspring. Sperm cells were first observed in Antonie van Leeuwenhoek's laboratory in 1677. Mammalian spermatozoa Humans The sperm cell of ''Homo sapiens'' is the small Gamete, reproductive cell produced by m ...

Finella Pupoides
''Finella pupoides'' is a species of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Scaliolidae. Description The shell size varies between 2 mm and 4 mm. Its color varies from white to pale yellow, a few times even dark brown. The shell shows typically two indistinct brown bands below the suture and at the base. The shell is elongate, fusiform with a narrow, pointed apex. This protoconch is smooth and contains about 2.5 whorls. The whorls are rather inflated and have deeply marked sutures. The sculpture of the teleoconch has characteristic flat-topped spiral cords with rather weak axial ribs. These form a fine reticulate pattern on the upper whorls. This axial sculpture is reduced to absent on the body whorl. The aperture is semicircular. The narrow columella is curved.
