Faversham Strike Force Football Club is a football club based in Faversham, England. They are currently members of the and groundshare with Faversham Town since 2022, having previously shared with Rochester United at the Rochester United Sports Ground, Strood. History Faversham Strike Force were founded in 1999 by Gary Axford as a youth football club. In 2012, the club formed a senior team, competing in the Canterbury & District League as Faversham Harlequins. In 2013, back under the Faversham Strike Force guise, the club joined the Kent County League Division Two East, winning promotion in their first season in the league. The following season, the club joined the Division One East, winning the league. In 2015–16, Faversham Strike Force joined the Kent County League Premier Division, winning the league. Faversham () is a market town in Kent, England, from Sittingbourne, from London and from Canterbury, next to the Swale, a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary. It is close to the A2 road (Great Britain), A2, which follows an ancient British trackway now known as Watling Street, which was used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons. Whitstable () is a town on the north coast of Kent, England, at the convergence of the Swale and the Greater Thames Estuary, north of Canterbury and west of Herne Bay. The town, formerly known as Whitstable-on-Sea, was famous for oysters, collected from beds beyond the low water mark from Roman times until the mid-20th century. The annual Whitstable Oyster Festival takes place during the summer. In 1830, the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway, one of the earliest passenger services, opened. In 1832, the company built a harbour and extended the line to handle coal and other bulk cargos for the City of Canterbury. 2021–22 FA Vase
The 2021–22 FA Vase (Known for sponsorship reasons as the Buildbase FA Vase) was the 48th season of the FA Vase, an annual football competition for teams playing in Levels 9 and 10 (steps 5 & 6) of the English National League System. The competition is played with two qualifying rounds followed by six proper rounds, semi-finals, and the final played at Wembley Stadium. All ties this season were played to a finish on the day. For this season there were no replays in any of the rounds to minimise fixture congestion due to late start of the football season brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. If games finished level after 90 minutes, the match was decided by penalties to find the winner of the tie, apart from the Final where there were 30 minutes extra time (15 minutes each way) followed by penalties if still level after the extra time period. The Southern Counties East Football League is an English association football, football league established in 1966, which has teams based in Kent and Southeast London. Its two divisions are allocated at Step 5 and Step 6 of the National League System (which equates to Levels 9–10 of the overall English football league system).
