Fabien Claude
Fabien Claude (born 22 December 1994) is a French biathlete. Career His first year in biathlon was 2006. He made his international debut in 2011. He won the Junior Men's pursuit and placed 2nd with the French relay team at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2014. He was part of the French relay team that achieved 3rd place in the relay in Hochfilzen during the 2019–20 season. His first individual podium position was 3rd place in the individual discipline in Pokljuka during the 2019–20 season. His second podium was 2nd place in the pursuit in Kontiolahti during the 2020–21 season. His brothers Florent Claude and Emilien Claude are also biathletes. 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup
The 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 27 November 2021 in Östersund, Sweden and ended on 20 March 2022 in Oslo Holmenkollen, Norway. Norwegians Johannes Thingnes Bø and Tiril Eckhoff were the defending overall champions from the 2020–21 season. For the first time in the history of the Biathlon World Cup, the competition will be held in Estonia, specifically in Otepää. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian biathletes are only allowed to compete under a neutral flag since the competition in Kontiolahti. Their performances are not included in the previous classifications of their countries. Previously, the Ukrainian national team announced the withdrawal from the biathlon competition by the end of the season. The 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 28 November 2020 in Kontiolahti, Finland and ended on 21 March 2021 in Östersund, Sweden. Biathlon World Championships 2021
The Biathlon World Championships 2021 took place in Pokljuka, Slovenia, from 9 to 21 February 2021. Host selection On 4 September 2016, Tyumen won the voting (25 votes) during the 12th IBU Congress in Chisinau in Moldova over Pokljuka in Slovenia (13 votes) and Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic (11 votes). Also Antholz-Anterselva, Italy, withdrew their bid for 2021 championships before the vote took place due to winning of an election for the host of the 2020 event. Just before the Biathlon World Championships 2017 in Hochfilzen, Austria, IBU forced Russia to give back rights due to the doping scandal, for revote process after 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea.
