OFC Haskovo () is a Bulgarian Association football, football club based in Haskovo, that currently plays in the V AFG, Third Amateur Football League, the third tier of Bulgarian football. Haskovo's home ground is the Haskovo Stadium, which has a capacity of 9 000 spectators. Founded as ''Izvor Gorski Izvor'' in 2012, the team was renamed to ''Sayana'' in 2021 and moved to Haskovo, keeping the name until 2025, when was renamed to ''OFC Haskovo''. History Foundation of Izvor In 2012 Izvor was founded in Gorski Izvor, Haskovo Province, Gorski Izvor, Haskovo Province. In 2020 the team was promoted to the V AFG, Third Amateur Football League. In their first season the team finished on 10th place. 2021–present: Sayana ownership In 2021, the team was renamed Sayana, under their owner's name, a dairy products company, and was moved to Haskovo. FC Haskovo 1957 () is a Bulgarian Association football, football club based in Haskovo, which currently competes in the Regional Amateur Football Groups (Bulgaria), A RFG Haskovo, the fourth tier of Bulgarian football. Haskovo's home ground is the Haskovo Stadium, which has a capacity of 9,000 spectators. Haskovo have spent a total of 7 seasons in the Bulgarian elite, most recently in the 2014-15 A Group, 2014-15 season. After the 2020–21 season, FC Haskovo's senior team was merged with FC Izvor Gorski Izvor, which itself was moved to Haskovo to form a new club, called FC Sayana Haskovo, Sayana Haskovo. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup () is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based clubs. They have won together a total number of 65 titles. The three most successful clubs are Levski Sofia (26 cups), CSKA Sofia (21 cups) and Slavia Sofia (8 cups). The current cup holders are Ludogorets Razgrad, who beat CSKA Sofia 1–0 in the 2025 final. The 2023–24 Bulgarian Cup was the 42nd official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. It was sponsored by ''Sesame'' and known as the Sesame Kupa na Bulgaria for sponsorship purposes. The competition began on 9 August 2023 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 15 May 2024. Ludogorets Razgrad were the defending cup winners and reached the final for the second consecutive year, but were defeated by Botev Plovdiv, who won their fourth cup in history. As winners, Botev qualified for the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round. Hristo Hristov (footballer)
Hristo Bristov Iliev (; 11 May 1936 – 24 March 1974) was a Bulgarian footballer. He played as a forward and spent the majority of his career with Levski Sofia. Iliev also represented Bulgaria at international level in the 1962 World Cup and in the men's tournament at the 1960 Summer Olympics, where Bulgaria did reach the 5th place in the final ranking. Iliev died in a car crash on 24 March 1974. The 2022–23 Bulgarian Cup was the 41st official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. It is sponsored by ''Sesame'' and known as the Sesame Kupa na Bulgaria for sponsorship purposes. The competition began on 21 September 2022 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 24 May 2023.
