FBS Olomouc is a floorball team based in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The team was founded in 2001. The women's team has been playing in the Extraliga žen ve florbale Extraliga žen ve florbale is the highest league in the league system of Czech women's floorball and comprises the top 11 Czech floorball teams. The season culminates in a play-off played by the best 8 teams. The first season began in 1994–95. ... since the 2006–07 season. The team's biggest success is advancing to the semi-finals and the final fourth place in the 2007–08 season. In addition, the team advanced to the playoffs in the 2012–13, 2014–15, 2020–21, 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons. The coaches of the women's A team are Radek Řehák and Dagmar Sigmundová. The men's team plays Division, the fourth highest competition. Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with sticks and a plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. The basic rules were established in 1979 when the first floorball club in the world, Sala IBK, from Sala, was founded in Sweden. Official rules for matches were first written down in 1981.
