Extraliga žen ve florbale (also ČEZ Extraliga) is the highest league in the league system of Czech women's floorball and comprises the top 11 Czech floorball teams. The season culminates in a play-off played by the best 8 teams. The first season began in 1994–95. The champion of the league is eligible to compete at the Champions Cup. FBC Třinec (FBC Intevo Třinec after its sponsors) is a floorball club based in Třinec, Czech Republic. The team was founded in 2011. The women's team has been playing in the Extraliga žen ve florbale (the highest competition) since the 2023–24 season, to which they advanced for the first time in history in 2023. Among the team's greatest successes is the promotion to the quarterfinals of the Pohár Českého Florbalu in 2022. Floorball (also known by #Etymology, other names) is a sport played with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. It is played indoors with sticks and a hollow plastic ball with holes. Tatran Střešovice
Tatran Střešovice is a floorball club based in Prague, Czech Republic. The team was founded in 1991. The men's team has played in the highest Czech floorball league, Superliga florbalu, since its foundation in 1993. Until the 2011–12 season, the team was the dominant team of the league, winning all titles, except for the 1995–96, 1996–97, 1999–00, and 2008–09 seasons. Overall, the team won 18 titles, the last time in 2023–24 season. It makes it the most successful Czech men floorball team. In 2024, Tatran won Champions Cup as the first Czech team in the history, when they beat Swedish IBF Falun in the finals. FBC Ostrava (FBC ČPP Bystroň Group Ostrava after its sponsors) is a floorball club based in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The team was founded in 1993. The men's team has played in the highest Czech floorball league, Superliga florbalu, since its foundation in 1993. The team ended in second place nine times, in the seasons 1993–94 through 1995–96, 1998–99, 2002–03 through 2005–06, and the last time in the season 2010–11. That makes it the fifth most successful Czech men team and the third team in number of participations in finals.
