Extraordinary Portraits
''Extraordinary Portraits'' is a BBC Television series in which members of the public who have a notable achievement are paired with an artist to have their portrait painted, or in some cases drawn, photographed, or sculpted. It first aired on 14 February 2022. The first two series were presented by Tinie Tempah; series three and four by Bill Bailey. All the sitters in series three were related to the NHS, to mark its 75th anniversary. An exhibition of works from the first two series was held at Turner Contemporary in 2022. From 13 March to 6 April 2025, during Bradford's year as UK City of Culture, an exhibition of the portraits from series four is scheduled to be held at the city's ''Loading Bay'' venue. Tinie Tempah
Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu (born 7 November 1988), better known by his stage name Tinie (formerly Tinie Tempah), is a British rapper and singer. He has been signed to Parlophone since 2009, now a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. He created his own entertainment company Disturbing London in 2006, along with his Dumi Oburota. After releasing a number of mixtapes, he released his debut album, ''Disc-Overy'', in October 2010. Shetland Museum
The Shetland Museum and Archives is a museum in Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland. The new Shetland Museum at Hay's Dock was officially opened on 31 May 2007 by Queen Sonja of Norway and the Duke & Duchess of Rothesay (Charles & Camilla). Previous building On 29 June 1966 a library and museum building was opened on Lower Hillhead and King Harald Street, Lerwick by the Lord Lieutenant R. H. W. Bruce. The building was built in 1966 by Zetland County Council and was shared with Shetland Library. New building The new building, which cost in the region of £11.6 million, was part-funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £4.9 million, and replaced the much smaller buildings in Lerwick. Adebanji Alade
Adebanji Alade (born 1972), also known as "the Addictive Sketcher", is a painter and television presenter, active in the United Kingdom, who serves as president of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. He is a member of the Guild of Fine Art in Nigeria and of the council of the Chelsea Art Society. Early life Alade was born in Hackney, London on 28 February 1972. Between 1992 and 1997 he obatined a Higher National Diploma in Fine Art from Yaba College of Technology in Nigeria. Between the ages of 16 and 18, he lost his father, mother and elder brother. Brock Elbank is a photographer. Born in Warwickshire England, currently living in London. He received media attention in 2013 for his photo series #Project60. Commissioned by Isabella Blow for ''The Sunday Times Style'', he began his career shooting women's fashion. Ross Muir (born 6 October 1995 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish professional snooker player. He turned professional in 2013 after graduating from event two of Q School, defeating David Morris 4–0 in the final round. Amar Stewart
Amar Stewart is a Brooklyn-based artist who often depicts modern celebrities in the guise of Renaissance-style oil paintings. He moved to the United States from London in early 2014. He brought with him paintings of Biggie and Tupac inspired by the Dutch painter Frans Hals. He was Cotton Candy Machine's first resident artist in early 2014, completing 13 works in just one month. The collected series is titled "Hip-Hop Royalty." His work was shown at a solo show in San Francisco, at the Public Barber Gallery in August 2014. In January 2019 several of Stewart's paintings were displayed in the newly opened Williamsburg bar "KillBar" whose theme was an homage to Quentin Tarantino.
