Adebanji Alade
Adebanji Alade (born 1972), also known as "the Addictive Sketcher", is a painter and television presenter, active in the United Kingdom, who serves as president of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. He is a member of the Guild of Fine Art in Nigeria and of the council of the Chelsea Art Society. Early life Alade was born in Hackney, London on 28 February 1972. Between 1992 and 1997 he obatined a Higher National Diploma in Fine Art from Yaba College of Technology in Nigeria. Between the ages of 16 and 18, he lost his father, mother and elder brother. His uncle became his mentor and sponsor. He studied at Heatherley School of Fine Art from 2003 to 2005, graduating with a Diploma in Portraiture. He has also taught there. Extraordinary Portraits
''Extraordinary Portraits'' is a BBC Television series in which members of the public who have a notable achievement are paired with an artist to have their portrait painted, or in some cases drawn, photographed, or sculpted. It first aired on 14 February 2022. The first two series were presented by Tinie Tempah; series three and four by Bill Bailey. All the sitters in series three were related to the NHS, to mark its 75th anniversary. An exhibition of works from the first two series was held at Turner Contemporary in 2022. Belvedere, London
Belvedere is a town in south east London, England, within the London Borough of Bexley. It lies close to the River Thames, with Erith to the east, Bexleyheath to the south, and Abbey Wood and Thamesmead to the west. Before the creation of Greater London in 1965, Belvedere was in the administrative county of Kent. History The area which is today known as Belvedere was for centuries part of Lessness Heath, the eastern parts of a narrow high ridge which stretches from the area of Lesnes Abbey to Erith. The northern stretch is industrial and environmental and was common meadow.
