''Evergreen'' is the fourth studio album by American Rock music, rock band Pvris, released on July 14, 2023, through Hopeless Records. It was preceded by the release of five singles, the first of which was a double A-side of "Animal" and "Anywhere but Here", followed by "Goddess", "Good Enemy", "Love Is a..." and "Evergreen". Background Lynn Gunn described the album as "a reclamation of control in our post-pandemic culture, posing a complex discussion on fame, technology, spectacle, and female autonomy", also elaborating that it is "not [her] job to cater to certain trends or people's nostalgia" and she has to "always embrace the risks of change and trust that each stage of [her] music's life will resonate with whoever it's meant to". Pvris (pronounced "Paris" and stylized PVRIS) is an American pop rock band formed in Lowell, Massachusetts in 2012. Following several lineup changes, the band is now composed solely of frontwoman Lynn Gunn. A music tracker, or simply a tracker, is a type of music sequencer software for creating music. The music is represented as discrete musical notes positioned in several channels at chronological positions on a vertical timeline. A music tracker's user interface is traditionally number based. Empires was an indie rock band from Chicago. The band consisted of Tom Conrad, Sean Van Vleet, Max Steger, and Mike Robinson. Background In early 2008, Empires was formed when longtime friends guitarist Tom Conrad approached singer Sean Van Vleet about writing music together. Conrad and Van Vleet spent the year writing music together, and the induction of the other band members soon followed, Max Steger, Ryan Luciani and Al Smith.
