Hacride is a French progressive metal band. Formed in 2001 with musicians coming from an array of different bands, musical backgrounds and styles their sound has evolved from the raw extremities and odd time signatures of technical death metal to one that is more progressive and avant-garde. After the Burial is an American progressive metal band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Xerath
Xerath is an English heavy metal band from Basingstoke, Hampshire. Formed in 2007, the band gained international recognition after the release of their debut album ''I (One)'' via Candlelight Records in 2009, a record label they stuck with throughout their existence. Panzerballett is a quintet from Munich led by guitarist, composer and arranger Jan Zehrfeld. Their musical style is best described as jazz-metal. Band history After several years of searching, classically trained guitarist Jan Zehrfeld joined several musicians together with the idea of forming a jazz metal band. Zehrfeld felt that he was always angry at something, and that this music was a way to channel his aggression. In 2005, Panzerballett released their self-titled debut album and became part of the German progressive rock scene. Mnemic is a Danish heavy metal band formed in Aalborg in 1998. The band personally describes themselves as "Future Fusion Metal". Vildhjarta is a Swedish progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, formed in 2005. The band plays in a Meshuggah-influenced djent style employing heavily down-tuned guitars, as well as harmonic minor chord progressions, jarring staccato riffs, and layers of reverberant guitars and atmospheres. Paul Antonio Ortiz (born 19 February 1984) is an English multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work under the pseudonym, or solo project, of Chimp Spanner.
