EuroBasket 2015 Final
The EuroBasket 2015 Final was the championship game of the EuroBasket 2015 tournament. The game was played on 20 September 2015 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille, France. Spain won their third title by defeating Lithuania 80–63. The attendance of 27,372 was an all-time record. Both teams qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Road to the Final Spain The team of Spain for EuroBasket 2015 missed Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol and José Calderón, compared to the squad that participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. EuroBasket 2015
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the Basketball at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, 2016 Summer Olympics. EuroBasket 2015 Knockout Stage
The knockout stage of the EuroBasket 2015 took place between 12 September and 20 September 2015. All games were played at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille, France. The top four teams of each preliminary group advanced. Olympic games qualification format While the Eurobasket champion and the runner-up automatically qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics, the two losers of the semifinals advanced to the Olympic qualification tournament. Jonas Mačiulis (born 10 February 1985) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player. Standing at , he mainly plays at the small forward position. As a member of the senior Lithuanian national team, he earned an All-EuroBasket Team selection in 2015, as Lithuania won the silver medal. Linas Kleiza (; born January 3, 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball executive and former player. Standing at , he played at the small forward and power forward positions. In 2010, he was the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy winner and a member of the All-EuroLeague First Team.
