"Eureka" () is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter and musician Gen Hoshino from his sixth studio album, '' Gen'' (2025). It was released digitally by Speedstar Records on January 28, 2025, as the seventh and last single from the album. As the theme song for the medical drama (2025), Hoshino wrote and produced the track, which takes inspiration from the quiet storm genre and was composed largely within a day. A J-pop and soul ballad with simplistic progression, "Eureka" is about romance and city life. Hoshino sings about his lack of hope despite his despair, before he concludes that uncertainty should be used as a foothold to move forward. Japanese music critics connected the song's lyrics to the modern way of life and commented on its composition, which two reviewers found simple but detailed. Gen Hoshino
is a Japanese singer-songwriter, musician, actor, and writer. Career Music From its formation in 2000 until its disbandment in 2015, Hoshino led the instrumental band Sakerock, where he played marimba and guitar. They released over ten albums. As a solo artist, he debuted with his first album '' Baka no Uta'' on June 23, 2010. His first physical single, " Kudaranai no Naka ni" was released on March 2, 2011, and peaked at number 17 on the Oricon Singles Chart. The subsequent singles – "Film", "Yume no Soto e", "Shiranai" (2012), and " Gag" (2013) – all charted in the top 10. Shun Ishiwaka (石若駿, born 1992) is a Japanese jazz drummer. He has performed alongside artists such as Hiromi Uehara, Ai Kuwabara, Sakura Fujiwara, Jason Moran, Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Scofield, and Chris Potter. Biography Shun Ishiwaka was born in Kiyosato, Hokkaido in 1992. At the age of 12, he was invited to perform live with trumpeter Terumasa Hino. He attended Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in percussion. Upon graduating, Shun received the Acanthus Music Award and the Doseikai Award.
