Eugenie Liu
Eugenie Liu Yi-er (; born Liu Si-ting; 12 November 1990) is a Taiwanese actress. Liu took on lead roles in the television series ''Behind Your Smile'' (2016), as well as Netflix series ''Triad Princess'' (2019) and '' Futmalls'' (2020). She made her feature film debut as Older Monster in the horror comedy film ''Mon Mon Mon Monsters'' (2017), and starred as Lin Chen-chen in the drama film '' Old Fox'' (2023), for which she earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 60th Golden Horse Awards. In 2024, she starred as Fan Zuer in the drama film ''Daughter's Daughter'' and received another nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 61st Golden Horse Awards. Early life and education Eugenie Liu was born Liu Si-ting on 12 November 1990 in Taiwan. Her grandfather and her great-uncle are both actors, although Liu did not disclose her relationship with Kao Ming until his death in 2017. 37th Tokyo International Film Festival
The 37th Tokyo International Film Festival took place from 28 October to 6 November. This edition, introduced a new 'Women's Empowerment' section and showcased the works of director Yu Irie, a Japanese film director and screenwriter in its 'Nippon Cinema Now' strand. Hong Kong actor and singer Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Tony Leung served as jury president. The festival opened with Japanese samurai, period action film ''11 Rebels'' by Kazuya Shiraishi, and a unique mix of video, music, and dance, featuring performances by Sarah Àlainn, Leo, Kaf (singer), KAF, Oi Kazuya, and dancers Ikeda Mika and Suzuki Yohei. A video introduction followed, showcasing the lineup and upcoming awards, with KAF acting as master of ceremonies alongside Leo and Oi. He writes under the pseudonym of "Nine Knives" ().
