Eugene E. Stokowski
Eugene Edward Stokowski (June 23, 1921 – August 1, 1979) was an American politician and businessman. Stokowski was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Edison High School in 1939. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Stokowski graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1949 and was involved with the stock market. Stokowski served on the Minneapolis City Council and was a Democrat. He served in the Minnesota Senate from 1973 until his death in 1979. His wife Anne K. Stokowski Anne Kocon Stokowski (November 26, 1925 – July 26, 2020) was an American politician. Stokowski lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went to Edison High School in Minneapolis. Thomas Edison High School is the only public high school in the Northeast community of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison. Located in the Holland neighborhood, the school's academic focus areas are: American Studies, Business Enterprise, Candidate International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Personal Care & Therapeutic Services, and Technology & Multi Media.
