Alan Anderson (basketball)
Alan Jeffery Anderson (born October 16, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for eight seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Charlotte Bobcats, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers. Anderson also played internationally in Italy, Russia, Croatia, Israel, Spain and China. College career Anderson attended Michigan State University (MSU), where he played college basketball with the Michigan State Spartans men's basketball, Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team. Anthony Joseph Jaros (February 22, 1920 – April 22, 1995) was an American professional basketball player who won two championships with the Minneapolis Lakers, one in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and one in the newly-formed National Basketball Association (NBA). A forward/ guard from the University of Minnesota, Jaros played four seasons (1946–1947; 1948–1951) in the Basketball Association of America/National Basketball Association as a member of the Chicago Stags and Minneapolis Lakers. He averaged 5.4 points per game in his BAA/NBA career and won two league championships with the Lakers. Walt Paul Dziedzic (November 29, 1932 – November 24, 2018) was an American politician who served on the Minneapolis city council from 1976 until 1998, and then on the park board until his retirement in 2010. Prior to entering politics, Dziedzic spent 16 years as a police officer and inspector. He was also a Commissioner of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Kari Dziedzic ( ; June 5, 1962 – December 27, 2024) was an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represented District 60, which includes portions of the city of Minneapolis in Hennepin County. District 60 is also notable for including part of the University of Minnesota. In 2022, she was selected by her caucus to serve as Majority Leader for the 93rd Minnesota Legislature. Joseph Walter Dziedzic (born December 18, 1971) is an American former professional ice hockey left winger. Career Joe Dziedzic was drafted in 1990 while playing for Edison High School in Minneapolis and was named Minnesota Mr. Hockey the same year. Following high school, Dziedzic continued playing at the University of Minnesota for four seasons. He spent his first pro seasons split between the NHL and AHL, but was forced into early retirement due to an eye injury. Personal Dziedzic currently runs a youth hockey program in Minneapolis and is the Minneapolis High School hockey coach.
